Let me tell you a story…
In 2002 after experiencing…
Insufficient weight gain
Daily fatigue and depression
Severe mood swings
Mysterious illnesses
Frequent cramping + embarrassing trips to the bathroom
I was diagnosed with IBS yet given little to no support.
In 2006 after experiencing…
Extreme weight gain + the inability to lose lbs
Debilitating headaches + stomach cramps
Anxiety + brain fog + depression
Fear of eating + most foods
Diminished desire to socialize
I was diagnosed with Celiac disease yet given little to no support.
So, I learned a little about food and a lot about gluten.
I also realized the importance of advocating for myself.
In 2017, after bringing 2 babies into the world, I experienced the bring-me-to-my-knees pain of an ovarian cyst bursting. It was the size of a grapefruit. My OB-Gyn gave me 2 options; a hysterectomy or the pill, and little to no support.
I was 32, I decided to take the pill.
In 2021 after experiencing…
Nearly constant migraines
Loss of libido
Depression, feeling like a shell of a human
Bouts of anger + impatience
Unexplained weight loss
I quit the pill, cold turkey.
It wasn’t long before prior symptoms reared their ugly heads. My Ob-GYN suggested the same solutions. But this time I knew better.
So, here’s what I did…
I found a naturopath and an NTP to collaborate with on diet and lifestyle
I did a brief elimination of triggering foods
I took the time to heal my gut
I began supplement + vitamin protocols
I worked-out WITH my cycle, instead of in spite of it
I found ways to mitigate stress
I educated myself on hormones
3 months later, my largest cyst was nearly gone and I didn’t experience mid-cycle pain or PMS-related issues.
I was so amazed by the power of natural healing that…
I enrolled with the Nutritional Therapy Association.
Today, I enjoy eating the foods I love without bloating, I’m shocked when my period shows up, my anxiety is closeted, and my mood is stabilized. I’m living, vibrantly.
